Changemaking is sacred work. How we approach this works matters.
Relational change invites us to remember that we shape and are shaped by one another and this planet. It guides us to cultivate generative qualities in the present and foster pathways to more sustainable, loving, and liberated futures.
Evoking Emergence is one of three workshops that explores the foundations of relational change. In Evoking Emergence participants will learn to recognize and integrate one of the three foundational lenses of relational change through experiential activities and peer-learning to prioritize relationship in the quiet moments and the big movements for social change.
What is required of us to engage with emergence? What is at risk if we don’t? What does agency look like when we surrender the need to control or predict outcomes? What does leadership look like when our task is to create space for possibility and “magic”?
In this session, we will invite participants into a deep exploration of what emergence asks of us and what it offers us. Through creative and reflective activies, we will experiment with our own notions of emergence and how to cultivate it in our lives and changework.
Together we will:
Develop our capacity to notice and name opportunities for transformation
Expand or deepen our meaning of systems change
Integrate mind, body and spirit into our learning community
Find solidarity in the joys and challenges of social change with a cohort of compassionate and curious humans
Please bring. A journal, writing utensil and whatever you need to feel energized, hydrated, present and curious.
Breaks. This 2.5 hour virtual session will contain plenty of time and space for our bodies and brains to take breaks.
Registration is limited to 10. We limit the number of participants to enable intimacy and trust building.
